You don't need to be famous or hold a doctorate. You need relevant knowledge and a genuine desire to help smallholder farmers succeed.

Practical knowledge in at least one area: crops, livestock, poultry, horticulture, aquaculture, or dairy

Able to explain farming tasks in simple, actionable steps that a first-time farmer can follow

A valid Kenyan phone number (Safaricom) to receive your M-Pesa payouts

Not required: Formal degree — valuable but not mandatory if you have strong field experience
